Fred M. DeGrandis, Chairman (Retired Executive, Cleveland Clinic CEO at NorthCoast Healthcare Services LLC)
Fred DeGrandis is a distinguished healthcare executive with more than three decades of leadership across hospital systems, physician networks, and community-based health organizations. A retired senior leader of the Cleveland Clinic, he served as the first President and CEO of the Clinic’s Regional Hospitals and Community Health System. Throughout his career, he has championed innovative models of care, community wellness initiatives, and improved access to high-quality home-based healthcare. In addition to his work with VNA of Ohio, Fred serves on several national and regional nonprofit boards committed to advancing patient care and health equity.

Philip Micali, Member (President, Phil~italy Cultural Exchanges, LLC)
Philip Micali is a recognized expert in health benefits, wellness strategy, and care-delivery innovation. As Principal of bWell International, he has spent more than 30 years advising employers, health systems, and global organizations on building effective health and wellness programs. His work focuses on behavioral health, benefit design, and population-health strategies that improve outcomes and reduce costs. Phil’s experience across both U.S. and international markets brings valuable insight to VNA of Ohio’s mission to transform home-based care.

Andrea O’Donnell, Member (National Director of Retirement & Wellness, Sisters of Notre Dame)
Andrea O’Donnell is an experienced nonprofit and leadership-development professional with a background in community engagement, program development, and organizational growth. She has supported leadership initiatives across Northeast Ohio and is committed to strengthening mission-driven organizations. Andrea brings a passion for strategic thinking, community relationships, and building strong, effective boards to her work with VNA of Ohio.

Ferdinand M. Plecha, MD, Member (Medical Director, Southwest General Health Center)
Dr. Ferdinand Plecha is a board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 35 years of clinical experience treating complex vascular conditions. He is widely respected for his expertise in carotid disease, peripheral vascular disease, aneurysm care, and venous disorders. Dr. Plecha trained at Case Western Reserve University and completed advanced surgical training in the Cleveland region. His deep clinical insight and longstanding commitment to compassionate patient care strengthen the clinical perspective of VNA of Ohio’s board.

Mary Lou Stricklin, MSN, APRN, EMBA, FAAN, Member (Founder, The Arts for Healing)
Mary Lou Stricklin is a nurse leader, executive coach, and holistic-wellness practitioner known for her work integrating mind-body health into patient care. As founder of The Arts for Healing, she has advanced innovative approaches to emotional wellness, therapeutic arts, and whole-person care. She has held leadership positions within regional healthcare institutions and contributes her expertise to multiple nonprofit boards. Mary Lou brings to VNA of Ohio a strong commitment to nursing excellence and patient-centered care.

Mary Curran, Member (Strategic Planning Consultant, Visiting Nurse Association Health Group)
Mary Curran is a dedicated healthcare professional with experience supporting home-based care and community health organizations. As part of the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, she has been involved in advancing programs that promote access to high-quality in-home nursing, hospice care, and supportive community services. Mary brings a mission-driven perspective and a deep understanding of the needs of patients and families served by VNA of Ohio.

Donna M. Skurzak, Member (Principal Consultant, Diversity Management Solutions, LLC)
Donna Skurzak is a seasoned diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leader with broad experience in healthcare organizational development. A former Director of Diversity & Inclusion at the Cleveland Clinic, she has helped shape system-wide programs in cultural competency, workforce training, and equitable patient experience. Donna holds advanced degrees in human services and organizational psychology and is also a certified executive coach. She brings a strong commitment to inclusive leadership and organizational culture to VNA of Ohio’s governance.

Brian Tilow, Member (Senior Vice President, Cleveland Clinic)
Brian Tilow is a healthcare executive with senior-level experience at the Cleveland Clinic, where he has supported strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and system-wide program oversight. With a strong focus on organizational performance and service expansion, Brian brings operational insight and a commitment to improving the continuity and quality of care. His leadership experience strengthens the board’s ability to support growth and innovation across VNA of Ohio programs.

Michael Dobrovich, MD, Member (Retired Primary Care Physician, University Hospitals)
Dr. Michael Dobrovich is a retired primary-care physician who served patients for decades within the University Hospitals health system. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his compassionate approach, community commitment, and dedication to preventive care. His background in primary care provides an essential perspective on patient needs across the care continuum, enriching VNA of Ohio’s focus on quality, accessibility, and home-based clinical support.

David J. Lopez, MD, Member (President and CEO, Psychiatry Networks)
Dr. David Lopez is an experienced psychiatrist and healthcare leader with a strong background in clinical practice, behavioral health innovation, and telemedicine. He serves as President and CEO of Psychiatry Networks, where he has expanded access to high-quality psychiatric care through technology-enabled service models. Dr. Lopez earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed his residency training at Hennepin County Medical Center and Regions Hospital. His commitment to mental-health accessibility, patient-centered care, and modern approaches to treatment brings valuable insight to the VNA of Ohio board.

Ryan Haller, Member (Founding Principal, h/care)
Ryan Haller is the CEO and Founding Principal of h/care, an innovative home-based healthcare management organization focused on high-touch, technology-enhanced care models. With extensive experience in senior living, home health, hospice, and skilled-nursing services, he is committed to transforming how care is delivered in the home. Under his leadership, h/care acquired the VNA of Ohio in 2025, supporting the organization’s 124-year mission to expand access to high-quality care across the state. Ryan brings forward-looking strategy and a strong belief in home-based innovation to the VNA of Ohio board.
